These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of careersim.ai (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The service
careersim.ai provides AI-driven simulations of interviews, negotiations, and workplace conversations, plus automated coaching feedback. The Service is intended for personal career development. Persona behavior, scores, and feedback are generated by AI and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
2. Eligibility and account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- You're responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information when signing up and keep it up to date.
- One account per person. Don't impersonate others.
3. Acceptable use
When using careersim.ai, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes others' rights.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract underlying models or prompts.
- Use automated means (bots, crawlers) to access the Service except for permitted public pages.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute Service output without our written consent.
- Attempt to evade rate limits, security mechanisms, or fair-use restrictions.
- Submit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or designed to harm others.
- Use the Service to make consequential decisions about real people (hiring, firing, scoring candidates).
4. Your content
Anything you type, paste, upload, or otherwise submit during a simulation is your content. You retain ownership of it. By submitting your content, you grant careersim.ai a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display it solely to operate the Service for you — for example, to generate persona replies, render transcripts, and produce coaching feedback.
Don't submit content that you don't have the right to share — including confidential information from a current or past employer that you're under contract to protect.
5. AI-generated output
- Persona responses, coaching notes, and scores are produced by AI models and may contain errors or omissions.
- Output is provided “as is” for practice and self-improvement. It is not legal, financial, medical, career counseling, or HR advice.
- Don't rely on AI output for real-world decisions without independent verification.
- We may apply automated safety filters to refuse or modify responses that violate our policies.
6. Our content and intellectual property
The Service — including site design, code, persona schemas, scenario catalogs, scoring rubrics, and brand assets — is owned by careersim.ai or its licensors and protected by applicable law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during your account's lifetime. We reserve all rights not expressly granted here.
7. Changes to the service
We're always improving the Service. Features may change, be updated, or be removed over time as the product evolves. If you send us feedback, you grant us permission to use it without obligation.
8. Fees and billing
careersim.ai is free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we'll announce them clearly and ask for explicit consent before charging. Existing free features won't be silently removed.
9. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from the app or by emailing hello@careersim.ai.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute resolution) survive.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAREERSIM.AI AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) US $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless careersim.ai from any claim or demand — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we'll notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless a mandatory consumer-protection statute in your jurisdiction grants you the right to sue locally.
